About the role: The individual assigned to this position is responsible for managing and supporting capital/expense projects, and maintenance/operational issues as required. The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for work assigned at all sites located in the Sothern NY Region.

What you’ll do:
- Oversight of assigned projects:
- Overall project safety
- Manage the day to maintenance activities for all of the Southern NY assets.
- Managing contractors
- Manage the CMMS System for the SNY region
- Support and manage maintenance and operations personnel including:
- Managing electrical contractors for construction or maintenance activities
- Manage and track employee time in the CMMS System
- Managing maintenance and critical equipment issues, as required
- Provide support to the overall Mid-Atlantic Team as needed
- Support the Technical Manager, Regional Managers, and other ECRE personnel on assigned compliance and regulatory projects related to sites, including (but not limited to):
- Dam safety inspections and maintenance
- Wildlife management
- Water Quality certifications
- SPCC compliance
- Administrative Duties:
- Create or assist in the development and implementation of operational and/or maintenance procedures
- Assist in the preparation and management of operational and project budgets
- Assist in obtaining and enforcing all local, state and federal environmental permits and regulatory requirements related to projects.
- Comply with company standards, practices and policies
- Provide accurate records as required
- Must be proficient in the use of personal computers, specifically in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, data collection and database software
- Work with the Engineering, Dam Safety, Regulatory and other departments to implement project requirements and assist with design decisions.
- Work with the Regional Managers to develop outage schedules and outage planning.
- Perform Pre-Job safety briefings with contractor and site personnel.
- Assist the Regional Managers during emergency situations.
- Work with the Division Manager to develop project costing and yearly budget information.
- Develop Punch-List items for major projects and work with contractors or site personnel to resolve these items in a timely manner.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Regional Manager.
- A minimum of an associate degree in a technical or engineering discipline, or equivalent job experience
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, experience in hydro, steam and/or gas turbine power plant operations is preferred
- Experienced in the use of personal computers
- Be familiar with OSHA requirements and have completed OSHA 10-hour course (or will be completed upon successful employment)
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand P&IDs
- Ability to understand complex issues as they relate to plant operations
- Ability to work extended hours, if required
- The ability to work well with others in a fast paced, challenging environment
- Ability to perform manual tasks including but not limited to:
- The operation of hand and power tools and the ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Being able to bend and maneuver in tight, cramped quarters.
- Ability to work in hot, noisy, and dark environments, often alone and isolated.
- Comfortability working at heights and around water.
- Ability to work with and wear respiratory protection.
- Reach with hands and arms above shoulder level and at shoulder level.
- Walk, stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time.
- Grip and manually manipulate, often in repetitive motion, items such as but not limited to hand tools and machine parts.
- Read and identify labels, gauges, dials, and indicators typically encountered in performing job duties.
- Possess clear and effective verbal communication in all circumstances, including emergency situations and giving/receiving instructions over a radio.
