About the role: The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining an environmental management program/system in accordance with compliance requirements.  In addition, the position will be responsible for interfacing and coordinating with local, state and federal agencies across all divisions of Eagle Creek LLC. In doing so, the Environmental coordinator will support the Corporate HS&E Manager and related divisional resources in the development of an integrated and aligned approach.

What you’ll do:
  • Maintain and further obtain environmental permits in coordination with divisional resources, and external regulatory authorities. 
  • Manage and oversee environmental compliance requirements in conjunction with field operations and support. 
  • Develop and execute an environmental audit/inspection program, as required on an organizational-wide and divisional level.  Report findings to corporate and divisional leadership and management, with solution-oriented programs, processes and initiatives identified.
  • Further develop relationships and a rapport with applicable environmental regulatory agencies and authorities.   
  • Identify, assess, evaluate and minimize/mitigate environmental hazards and risks, including the identification and implementation of environmental controls.
  • Respond to environmental exposures and emergencies, and coordinate mitigation efforts.
  • Develop and implement an Environmental Management Training Program.
  • Further develop technology solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of environmental data/information, including trending and analyzing.
  • Other duties or job functions as assigned.
What skills & experience you’ll need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or other Environmental-related fields.
  • 2-5 years of experience in managing an environmental management program/system.
  • Practical experience with environmental compliance management, permitting and auditing/inspections.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of environmental compliance and technical requirements.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the relationship between operational activities and the relevant local, state, federal and various customer requirements.
  • Ability to travel to various project sites within the United States required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and remain active for the majority of the workday.
  • Physical ability to climb permanent and temporary ladders or stairs, navigate passenger use of personnel hoists, and the ability to walk/climb/navigate uneven surfaces and negotiate active work areas as needed.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Performing this job requires use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Ability to hear bells, alarms, whistles, etc.
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
